*MiK
I've installed to a dedicated partition this image, but when booting i get the error as in the topic title, several times and in yellow: so usb is not working and i can't use the keyboard and mouse, both usb.. My config: Asus p5b, Intel core 2 duo e6300, 1 Gb ram thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41960-failed-to-load-extension-comappledriverappleusbuhci/ Share on other sites
quixos
i think i had that problem. the solution might be, not installing the USB fix package. without re-installing, you might be able to use an appropriate usb package from http://developer.apple.com/hardwaredrivers...d/usbdebug.html there are two versions included in those packages. don't install the debug version. might have to sign up. I'm having difficulties to download that file: IOUSBFamily.kext 2.6.1; can you get for me and post here (or send me by mail)? Colonel
Open Terminal.app and do the following commands: sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext sudo diskutil repairPermissions / That should hopefully fix your problem. *MiK
I've tried the colonel solution, but it doesn't worked. By viewing the verbose log during boot, i've read something as Can't alloc class kld() undefined symbol ... Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.appleusbuhci ... now i've downloaded the dmg file as suggested by quixos, how can i mount that file? I've used Wmware to install osx on the hd partition and is the only way to access to osx installation on that partition, since mouse and keyboard doesn't work on real boot. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41960-failed-to-load-extension-comappledriverappleusbuhci/#findComment-299995 Share on other sites
