when I go in, system preferences, network, and I click on ethernet, the system preferences crash

the system do not see the sata integrated ports

I've installed an PCI/ATA board but the system do not recognized the board

I've seen this document http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=1474&st=20 for the audio but I get errors and no sound....

I know, thare are many topics around but I am a mac user, and it is the first time that "I put my hands" on a pc........

I don't know if I have to do something in bios or something like that....

sure you have explain many and many times what and how to do, but can you re-explain to me or show the rights topic?

consider that I've never "seen" a pc.... I need just the first step, something like to make understand a "child", but I'm not a unexpert, and I think I can do much with the right advices....

may you can advice me to use another system, different to 10.4.3...

I found in the forum, to "get" the JaS 10.4.8 etc etc and "the same" name ppf..... good....

but now I would like to ask:

you think is it possible to get sound from the card?

you think is it possible to use the sata drives?

thanks

You don't need windows installed!

I'm assuming this is going to be your second machine? Get the JaS 10.4.8 install dvd, burn the ISO. Once done put it in the intended machine and make sure to set the boot order in the bios to boot from the cd\dvd drive. Once that is done boot the disc and start the install process. It may take a few minutes to boot that dvd, so be patient. It will eventually boot.

Good luck,

Chevy

GREAT...... installed the JaS osx 10.4.8...... all is perfect.... thanks JaS, really thank you.....

I have only a problem, I hear no sounds.....

That could be it. If you put the install disc back in and browse through it, you will find the package that has the GMA950 installer and install it. I think, but I don't know for sure, should fix your issue. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think it will screw anything up as far as I'm aware. At worst case it takes another 20min to reinstall OSX. You might just want to backup your current install.
