Jeezoflip
It shoulding work anyway because diablo 2 is a Os9 app. And os x cannot run os 9 apps
DiaboliK
you need the osx native installer found on blizzard's diablo 2 site. also on many torrent sites. and yes they do work. maybe better through wine but they do work.
glassJAw
I am using the OSX installer. It just says Please Install the Disc.
DiaboliK
you have to have all the disk images mounted first then run installer. (that is if your disks are in .dmg format instead of real disks) mine were all on .dmg's so that my be my workaround.
glassJAw
hmm, I just looked at my Diablo 2 cds and it doesn't say anything about Macs. Only says Windows 98/Me/2000.. This is the 1.0 Version disc, the first release. The cd doesn't mount, nor does my Warcraft 3 cds. How do I manually mount a cd? Nothing comes up on the desktop. DiaboliK
pop the disk in then open up disk utility and it should pop up on the left then you select it then on the top left corner click mount. i have the same v.1 disks ive been playin ever since it came out but stopped playing ever since the v1.10b patches came around. glassJAw
Nothing happened when I put the disk in. When I installed a older cd-rom drive it detected a music cd I put in but did not take in the Diablo 2 cd nor the Warcraft 3... I have one more drive to try. Thanks so far. DiaboliK
if all else fails go into windows and use MagicISO and make an iso image of your disks then put those iso's onto your mac side then use them instead of disks.
glassJAw
Does OSX handle .ISO files? Or do I need to do some virtual ISO stuff?
DiaboliK
iso are treated just like .dmg files double click to mount.
glassJAw
Thanks, Warcraft 3 works, but Diablo 2 doesn't read the mounted device and just says "Please insert Install Disc." At least one worked.
