radan
I dragged info.plist to textedit in the dock. Edited a string, and when i was about to save i got this message: Couldn't save. The disk is read only. Should i go ahead with repairdisk permissions? Any help is much appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/41827-couldnt-save-changes-read-only/ Share on other sites
Hagar
you need to be running as superuser/root or similar try editing with: sudo nano /System/Libray/Extensions/your.kext/Contents/Info.plist or maybe try sudo /Applications/Textedit.app/Contents/MacOS/textedit then open it with that one.. you can even save the .plist on the desktop & copy it over the original later, but whatever you do, you need to authenticate to mod system files.
