Hello,

I've successfully installed 10.4.8 via vmware on a partition on my harddrive.

I realize that there are many ways of configuring a dual boot. But at the moment, I'm not able to get my system to properly recognize the osx partition.

I'm wondering, is it possible to boot from the install disc? When I have the install disc in, I press f8, and it dumps me into a command line. What command can I use to boot into my osx partition?

Thank you.

I think I found the problem. I installed osx under a logical extended partition, when it's supposed to be installed under a primary partition.

Here's the way my partitions are set up:

Primary: ntfs (windows)

Primary: extended

Logical: ntfs (another windows)

Logical: af (osx)

So, I'm going to use my second windows installation to format the primary partition. Then, I'll install osx as the first partition via VMware. Hopefully, this will do the trick.

I'll let you know.
