Aziz
I've installed mac OS X on my PC and fortunately I still have READ access to all of my windows partitions in OS X but how can I easily transfer files between these two operating systems? there are two logical solutions in my mind: 1- First, to find a way to give Write permission to OS X for Windows partition. (a Mac based solution) 2- Or find a way to connect to mac partition on windows. is there any solution? can anyone shed some light over it, cause I quite a novice in Mac. macgirl
Best/easy way is to set a FAT32 partition that has shared files for both Windows and Mac OS, even Linux. NTFS on Mac OS is read only but with Mac FUSE you can write to it. Look at hte mac Fuse guide at the Tutorials Forum. dvornik
Here's my impression so far: For small files (<3GB?) it's a Fat32 partition like macgirl has mentioned. For larger files it's network storage - meaning turning one of your older machines into a file server. Alucard!
why go to bother with these cracks and hacks? When you can go to a store layout. 1300 $ and all your problems are solved. End of problems with NTFS, fat 32, finding suitable patch, reading and writing long code, thinks like this what seems to be the problem right now I am collecting this money already. I have almost half of it and it will take me two or three more months to collect all the money. That is needed for this Macintosh computer. I sincerely hope that when working on Macintosh. I will not have any virus problems or running slow operating system problems. Nowadays, it is all about money, time is money, work is money, studies are money.everything means money so we can not get around this, sooner or later most of the people who are here will give up this and buy themselves a real Macintosh laptop. You'd still need to share large files. bajabronco
I write to a NTFS partition within my OSX environment and I simply use macfuse - works great! I created a dual boot disk when I first installed OSX and needed to easily transfer files to the windows partition.
