i am having some weird problems with Crossover Mac final.

i have used the trial (beta? i forget) with success in the past. however

now there are two problems that keep happening.

the first problem is that when i create a bottle, i get the error message that you

can see in the top of the picture. the second problem i have, is after

creating the bottle ("...wish to debug it? No), programs install using

my "/" as some sort of Temp folder, and leave all those files behind.

the third problem is that after installation, which i have to force complete,

the program links in the Crossover "Program" menu are generic icons,

that do not load the program. i have to navigate to the executable and

run it from there.

bet macs have no problem

using the November kernel at this time. just trying to determine whether it is the kernel,

or the Crossover.

it might be my cpu, but i don't think so. give it a try, look for the Temp files being written to /

thanks

i've been using yours, from a dedicated install partition, but also used my own. same thing.

4.8

well, it appears to be Natit/5200FX related. switched back to gma900 and Crossover works perfectly.

funny how a graphics driver causes temporary files to be placed in / though.

just out of curiosity, if any Natit users are using Crossover without problems, let me know. i'd

like to find out if it is Natit, or if it is the 5200fx.

I'm having the same problems when creating a bottle, with a fx5200 & Titan. The bottle was created anyway once I hit OK on the error box, and I've been able to installed ie6 into it fine.

I'm currently installing a program called altium designer, to see if I can get it running with crossover (it's currenlty untested) and I've got quite a list of temp files in /

I installed ie6 earlier, but there doesn't appear to be any files left that look like they're fom it (the time's on the files are all too recent) so I'll wait until the installer's finished, it may clean them up on its own.

It's weird that the error seems to be happenning on this graphics card.....for reference I don't have X11user package installed yet, don't know if that will effect the error or not.
