yannl Posted November 4, 2005 Share Posted November 4, 2005 I tried everything mentionned in various post but the right solution :-( I always get: WirelessAttach: getInterfaceWithName failed error: bootstrap_status 1102 for port name "com.apple.SystemConfiguration.configd.airport" and my card if not recognized, even in the hardware list, under pc card I have nothing, and of course no wifi icon. Except that everything works, but without wifi I feel really alone... Aquatype Posted November 5, 2005 Share Posted November 5, 2005 I have the same problem, but learned that Belkin has different chipsets for the same product number. Mine is with Ralink RT-2500 chipset, NOT BCM4306. Even with STA-2500 Card Bus program from the forum it still gives me headache - when card is recognized, it freezes the mouse cursor. The only way I regain the mouse control is by removing the PCMCIA card from the slot... Try to edit your signature to include your setup and OSX86 install (under My Controls): that helps you and others to trouble shoot the problem and you only have to do it once. 2. Get the Broadcom BCM4306 mini PCI card from Ebay for example for about $15. For now, I try to install a Belkin f5d7010 on a laptop HP nx7000 but it seems I tried with the wrong chipset. My card apparently has the STA 2500 but it does'nt work. The card doeso not even show up in the hardware list... any idea ? clue ? solution ? I have a few cards now... this one was supposed to be compatible. That's my only real problem to make it real now. I also have intel minipci onboard that is useless... ah la la, network.. network...
