RiPOFF
Any ideas? Which video runs +/- 5% to 100% compatible with 10.4.8 and has QE/CI/OGL? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40999-most-compatible-gfx-card-w-1048/ Share on other sites
Nickhamm
Well, with my release (10.4.8 JaS SSE2/3 Intel/AMD my GeForce FX5200 seems to be working perfect with everything enabled (I haven't tested second monitor, but in prefs it shows no display attached on output 2, while my A75f is on output 1). It seems that any nVidia card that is a GeForce FX 5200 or higher and any ATI card that is a x1000 series or higher should work fairly flawless. The ATI x100 series have to be hacked off the 9700 driver and the 9700 driver supports old 9600+ cards but they all have graphics artifacts. And nVidia users have some support on older Geforce 3 and 4 cards, but are lacking CoreImage as its not supported even on Apple machines. Zizou
Make sure it's an PCI-E card, (well, also make sure your mobo supports it ) AGP is having a hard time with Os X, Agpgart & Titan.
