Nooooooooooooooo your all wrong, learn2usemac lol!

Goto Apple > System prefs > Universal Access > Mouse

Now move the "Initial delay" slider to the left and the "Maximum speed" slider to the right!

This will give you the pointer you came to expect ><

GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT, I didn't know there's another panel for the mouse even I've been using this for years... ^___^'

Why can't they just centralize it in the Keyboard & Mouse !?

Still it can only emulate 80% the way in XP/Linux but better than installing crabs into your thing...ha ha.

Great Remind & Thank You!!!!!!

Well in windows there was something like Accessibility options, I felt the mouse behaviour was such a thing too ><

Atleast Apple thinks this is an accessibility feature, I think it just has to be placed at mouse configuration :(

So for everyone still dubbing about weird mouse responses look no further :)

I use the razer deathadder with the mouse speed scrollthingy one notch over the middle and I think it works good now, it feelt weird in the begining thought.

Are there any accelerion in os x? can it be turned of? (Guess those have already been answered)

The deathadder is a 1800 dpi 3d gen optical mouse, there is a pro-model available from razer which also got drivers for os x, I guess that one is even better.

Thanks, weird to have it in two places =P
  • 2 weeks later...

Windows has mouse options hidden all over too ><

Anyway I use a Logitech G5 Laser (2000DPI) and with the initial delay and maximum speed settings set to min and max respectively my mouse feels unaccelerated.

Also setting mouse speed in the normal mouse panel just over middle makes the mouse feel more sturdy and responsive.

/edit: it does feel weird at start but thats becouse you got used to the acceleration :)

I installed alot of Tools for my Logitech G5. iMouseFix, USB Override, etc. But the only wich works great is Steermouse.

Steermouse helps my mouse with lagging and this jumping cursor.

Just adjust the Tool and have alot of fun with a good cursor.

I also installed SteerMouse because my BT Mouse, but I like better MS Intellipoint or USBOverdrive (only if they handle bluetooth ;) )

I totally agree.

I am a Logitech mouse owner (since my Windows days which aren't that far ago) and was disappointed by the poor Logitech support for Mac and even considered trashing my VX Revolution until I came across Steermouse. This driver software is great for any mouse problems you might have.

I currently have a giveaway contest going on on my blog for one Steermouse license so if anyone is interested just drop by and take part. (the contest ends in 10 days)
