dvornik
Have you added any USB devices support during installation? In my case adding USB soundblaster support has killed the mouse... Ferret-Simpson
Install from scratch with the most basic hardware driver config you can. If you don't have it, don't install it. You can always add drivers later. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date, and OpenGL-capable. Lagmac
@dvornik : No any USB support device added; @Ferret : I have follow this procedure : 1) clean installation of 10.4.6 2) update with Apple combo update (no reboot) 3) install patch 4) reboot No driver or other installed. Update work fine, but the system is very slow. My video card is INTEL GMA 950 and i suppose its fully supported. Brandon-G
I second this. I upgraded from 10.4.7 to 10.4.8 (which was needed or I would have to boot into safe mode) and simple apps like MS word take around 20 seconds to open, when on windows, Word 2007 opens in about 3 seconds.
