Conan Obrien Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 ok i have an iso image of an operating system but i have some software that i have to install right after i finish installing the os what i want to know is there a way to unpackage that iso then add the installers for the software that i need and then repackage that iso? Metrogirl Posted January 29, 2007 Share Posted January 29, 2007 Title edited for the sake of clarity. I'm assuming the ISO is bootable, since you are installing an OS with it. Several ways round this, but if it's XP take a look at nLite -here- which will allow you to manipulate the install CD in any way you want, automate installation of extra packages and so on. It might be just what you're looking for. If you just want to mess around with the ISO, there are several programs which can edit and re-write an ISO but beware of issues keeping them bootable. WinISO is one I've used, but I don't know how it compares to others.
