Since my Intel wireless 220 isn't working I decided to buy another working wireless card for os x and switch completey to it.

This d-link dwl 122 is usb dongle and i've read on couple sites that people are not very satisfied with it on 10.4. but I am not even sure if it'll work on x86 so please fill me in.

The reason I am asking about his dongle is because I can get it for not much money...

Regards

the dwl122 is a 80211b prism2 based usb dongle

drivers are available as binary for PPC

the obviously dont work in x86 (belive me, i have one and i´ve tried)

there are open source driver for linux (linux-wlan-ng) if you know how to recode them for Osx (not easy at all)

Too bad... So you say I'd better not buy it??

Wiki says dwl g122 is supported so I guess it SHOULD work...

Anybody else?

the dwl-g122 (and notice the g)

There are only two working wireless, the (Broadcom/Airport compatible) and the Ralink RT2500 (which includes the DWL-G122 b1 and requires the universal binary driver from Ralink)
