right click boot.plist open with: applications, util, right at the bottom theres text edit or something. when editing, dont tick 'add .txt' when u save it, and sometimes it helps to save it elsewhere, then drag your saved file into the system configuration and replace the old one. sometimes it wont let you just save over it straight off, it likes to be replaced :thumbsdown_anim:

Its located in /Library/Preferences/System Configuration/

 

And btw i use Smultron to edit .plists as it asks for password when saving plists with root privileges and no need to save to desktop and copy back etc...
