albertsf
Well I cant find it on Demonoid. I found a 10.4.7 one, but are you saying I can pop that in my Hackintosh and install it? wanamino
You have first to have a working hackintosh install, let, with the 10.4.7 dmg that you found on the demon, look for an executable that will upgrade to the server version, that's all. asap18
Virtual Domains as in Apache virtual domains, yes- they work very well. Yes and mysql is as easy as a click of the button. Its under Applications/Utilities when you get it installed and remember to change the password for mysql first. dutch
Virtual Domains as in Apache virtual domains, yes- they work very well. Yes and mysql is as easy as a click of the button. Its under Applications/Utilities when you get it installed and remember to change the password for mysql first. I have a 10.4.8 server running now, sweet and stable, but.... MySQL crashes the system right on clicking the 'install' button in the manager. I also tried a mysql 5 'intel' mac osx install, and this one installs okay, but crashes the system on start of mysql. Anyone has this problem too, or better: anyone maybe knows a solution for this problem? System install: - JaS 10.4.8 DVD (Intel Pentium D system) - Mac OSX 10.4.7 server mkpg (Volume check removed) - Mac OSX 10.4.8 server update with restored kernel, mods and kexts. All services are working verified okay, except for mysql... - D Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38658-os-x-tiger-server-on-intel/#findComment-294517 Share on other sites
Grmbl
Maybe I'm not getting something, but what's the point of running UNSUPPORTED OS on server box when almost any Linux distro can handle all of this without hassle? OS X for the desktop - it's perfectly reasonable - great UI, nice software, "wow" effect. But server?! Haha. d he he , yes it'work ...and very hard in fact !!! imac <=> P4P800 : 700Mo file in 15 second The same copy take me about 27s with windows 2003 server and the same hardware ... i let you imagine why ... GNU/gpl inside. edit : in order to install the server side of os x you must extract package from the .dmg and install those that are mentionned on demonoi d dot com (the dmg image is not bootable on my p4p800) I have a 10.4.8 server running now, sweet and stable, but.... (the mistake is probably here) i'm not surprised of the results you have .... i 'used 10.4.6 dvd (jas) and apply the 10.4.7 : it's works .
