ZeroXH
Using a MacBook, installed Windows XP Pro, yes, it has SP2. And no, I have no mighty mouse in the usb port, nor a modem or anything external. Went through the installation proccess fine, along with the Mac Drivers installations, and went through all of last night and today fine and problem-free. Installed and played a couple games, along with Firefox, went fine. Then, I restarted it to refresh its resources after installations, and guess what, keyboard doesnt work. Figure I'd be able to check it out at least in the hardware manager, but I cant even log in, cause I cant type a password... ....SO, in desperation to get it working, I've tried restarting many times, switching start up disks, even waiting many minutes figuring it'd kick in at log in screen, and even went through boot camp's way of restarting it through windows installation. And just recently I got my Usb keyboard to work on it for a little, until I turned it on this afternoon to find that its going through the same issues as with the built in keyboard... Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38383-bootcamp-macbook-dead-keyboard-issues-cant-log-on/ Share on other sites

Embio
press Command+U (apple and U) to bring up the utilities, then select the on screen keyboard. ...................I just realised how dumb that was. I've been up for 27 hours, leave me alone! exscape
Huh, rEFIt contains keyboard drivers for windows? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38383-bootcamp-macbook-dead-keyboard-issues-cant-log-on/#findComment-291918 Share on other sites
kkrull
rEFit rocks! rEFIt does indeed rock, but it does not always enable keyboard support through the boot process. I always get the keybaord working in Windows, but I only get it a third of the time during the boot menu.
