Mike G
Hello - I have a Core2 Macbook Pro running the latest version of bootcamp that I set up a little over a month ago. Loaded the usual XP apps like office and Adobe Studio, virus, mac drive, our corp VPN stuff, etc. Everything was working fine then the other day it would no longer load the the Intel netstructure VPN app (hangs at splash screen). Now when I boot into Windows, the CPU is pegged at 95% or so and fans are running at high speed. After about 10 or 15 minutes or so, one core will drop to 78% other is still at 95%. Eventually the system will shutdown and go into standby mode (fans off, screen off). The system seems to run fine under OSX, from where I'm writing this message. I looked at task manager, but the processes using all the CPU are System, Explorer or Task Manager. Any suggestions? Thanks! erbic
Post something relevant, please. There are actually legitimate reasons to use Windows. If it were me, I'd backup important stuff and re-install Windows. I don't know how much of a pain that'd be for you; I don't have too much mission-critical stuff in my Windows so it'd just be a loss of a couple hours for me.
