Jedisinclair
I was running JaS 10.4.7 perfectly. I have an Asus p5GV-MX mobo with GMA 900 graphics chip. With 10.4.7, that worked with QE/CI running with no patch or anything... I installed the latest 10.4.8 last night and QE/CI are NOT working. I notice there's a PFP file to patch this ISO... will this fix my graphics problem or is there a patch somewhere OR should I just break down and buy a new Vid Card? I was eyeballing the ASUSTeK EN7300GS/HTD Graphics Card - nVIDIA GeForce 7300GS - 256MB Also, I had installed Roxio Toast 8 on 10.4.7 (even though they're system requirements say 10.4.8) and it was working beautifully... when I put it on 10.4.8 I double click the Toast icon to install and it bounces a few times on the dock, then disappears... is this because QE/CI aren't running? I'd appreciate any help with this. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38265-need-help-with-gma-900/ Share on other sites

miguelcerca
did you install the gma 900 support? if so go into System/Library/Extensions and delete anything with 950 in it. then in terminal: chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions reboot if you did not choose the gma 900 support during install you can find the package on the dvd. install it, then follow the above instructions it should work for you, it did for me. aquanutz
Yes, like so many others have stated, there is a package in the install to get the card to work. You can either delete you current kexts and install that package (which didn't work for me) or reinstall and select that check box (which did work for me) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38265-need-help-with-gma-900/#findComment-273905 Share on other sites
