crater
Ok so i got the 1048 AMD final for my system. AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (socket AM2 Windchestor) Motherboard is an ASUS with Nvidia 6150 video and the Nforce 4 chipset. 1 gig of ram Ok well i set up partitions for it fine, Installed OSX, then installed OSX's stuff into GRUB bootloader. So It gets to that point fine, i even see the darwin loader, I put in -v to see what's going on after it freezes once, and this is how far it gets. It seems to detect almost everything fine. then, It errors saying no airport, which is fine, it's a desktop. It loads the login window stuff fine. THEN it errors and sayd Couldn't read user specified computer name or local hostname then it says mDNSPlatformRawTIME a few different times listing different absolute times, then the last thing is shows is cannot lookup child 3 times and it never moves from there. Anyway to salvage this??? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38182-amd-final-install-went-fine/ Share on other sites

cbmkgd
My second IDE(That's PATA Right?) Drive. You have to check. I asked that because there's no good support for sata drives with nforce4 in osx. I'm not saying that's your case, but it would eventually have been asked. crater
Well it's an IDE Drive in a normal IDE ribon cable. So yeah, problem is somewhere else. myzar
the builtin nvidia 6150 doesn't work, you have to install it without nvidia drivers, remove them or try to add your id in all the nvidia kexts but i think it has been tried without luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38182-amd-final-install-went-fine/#findComment-272714 Share on other sites
