BarryBar
hey, this thing cannot detect my mac or windows partitions, it can only find the boot cd...can anyone help me set this stupid thing up??? Thanks [this isn't very descriptive.. sorry] Partition 1 - Mac (40GB) Partition 2 - Windows (17GB) Acronis is installed already, full version. I have been using Acronis quite a while and my experience with it is that over time it tends to give some problems. There are two possibilities. One the acronis bootoader doesn start up and sees the partitions but they do not work. This generally can be solved by checking the partition properties. Secondly tot be surte that a system boot the acronis booltloader a boot cd or dvd should always be removed when the bios is set to boot from cd or dvd. Other wise it will not get to the bootloader. If then the bootscreen stays black it could mean that the MBR is damaged and that can be reset by the help of boot cd which can be downloaded form the acronis site . First I put this file on floppy but that did work not quite as good a cd. Hope this help in some way Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37933-acronis-boot-loader-help/#findComment-270655 Share on other sites
