se1zure
I used the "upgrade" freature on the new jas install, (I forgot to choose custom, not sure if that is the problem), and it installed fine. When I reboot, it goes to the grey apple logo screen, but then fades dark, and a message saing mac osx needs to be restarted in several different languages. ]I have seen this once or twice, when using actual macs, but am not sure what the problem is here. What kind of options do i pick ont he custom install? Or is that not the problem? Lusse
Can you update mac os x (10.4.1 deadmoo) with the 10.4.8 JaS install DVD? SpeedfreaK
you can't update daedmoo i have this problem too, that's a kernel panic. press F8 during the boot and boot with -x (i think it's -x, it also can be -v) and tell us where the system hangs (the last line, or an error message) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37927-after-new-jas-install-mac-osx-needs-to-restart/#findComment-272810 Share on other sites
