H3li0
Hi ! Could anyone send me the instructions for installing OS X natively for this mobo? Here's my machine config: ========================================== Intel Pentium 4 on a D945GNT Mobo 2x 80Gb SATA disks Intel GMA 950 OnBoard Graphics HD Audio Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbits/sec) using 82573E/82573V/82574V 10/100 Mbits/sec using 82562GX/82562GZ PLC device ========================================== One disk (sda) is currently running XP. I would like to have Linux (Kubuntu) and OS X running on the second disk (sdb). Are there any step-by-step instructions/guides I could follow to get this job done? Thanks in advance. MoldyBread
Check for your hardware here* http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HLCPart#Sound If you check out, You can install OS X. I would use the Generic DVD Install, but I guess deadmoo works too even though I haven't tried it yet. If your hardware isn't listed, time for some testing, if everything works, tell us lol! and someone will put it in the wiki. If you cannot boot, telling your to restart, start with the -x extension (safe mode) and set it up like you installed it on a mac (Users, blah blah) I see you have a 945 board so you may want to look around for a 945 kext if things are getting a little buggy. I beleive that your internet will work but I can't be sure so use the link to find it. If you have anymore questing seach the forums first and then check the wiki, if you STILL can't find it, go to the forums. My specs are: Intel Pentium 4 P4P800 SE ATI Radeon 9800 PRO (deleted kexts) 1GB 2700 ram 200GB HDD (windows) 80GB HDD OS X 10.4.1 using the Apple.OS.X.x86.10.4.Generic.Install.DVD (working good, picking up a ethernet card later for internet LOL) Are there any step-by-step instructions/guides I could follow to get this job done? Thanks in advance. H3li0 go to www.osx86project.org and go to wiki Many guides there for install. But I just burned an image, installed it on separate HDD, and troubleshooted on teh wiki and the forums to fix it till it works! thrunner
Intel Pentium 4 on a D945GNT MoboAre there any step-by-step instructions/guides I could follow to get this job done? http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...pic=2743&hl=950 Please do more reading and searching, perhaps with the thread above. The answers are all there. Yours is a compatible mobo including QE & CI (faster graphics). You will need to do some kext editing. to make GMA950 worksI mod all appleinitel915* extensions in system/library/extensions, thanks cyrana for your effort, but strangely I can't use all your moded extensions directly (different device ID??) then I had to edit them myself. but basiclly, change device ID in info.plist of all above appleintel915* extensions ---contenct---from 915 to 945 to make tiger think you are using a GMA900 (the device ID can be found at the system profile--graphic) and then make the all permit and ownship correct. recommand BBEdit for modify, (a demo version can be get from their website) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3791-intel-d945gnt/#findComment-24160 Share on other sites
