_Ombra_ Posted January 3, 2007 Share Posted January 3, 2007 I installed the JaS 10.4.8 to have full support for my GeForce 7600 and now the GeForce works... but the audio won't work. On my 10.4.7 used to work out of the box so i don't really know what's going on. Anybody experiencing the same problem? For example, my USB 2.0 does not work, i don't know why :S Oh, btw, i tryed Taruga's ALC882_AppleHDA_v0.4b.mpkg but when i imput the command on the command line... it says "command not found". I'm not really good with Mac console commands so i don't really know where to start from. Maybe that's my solution. _Ombra_ Posted January 3, 2007 Author Share Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) ok... i'm a dumb**s. I just realized that the ALC882_AppleHDA_v0.4b.mpkg it's not the same as AppleHDA v0.2a.mpkg. With 10.4.6 I didn't have Geforce 7300 CI/QE support, Wich I now have, but had USB and Bluetooth working fine. Now, I still son't have High Definition Audio, which is soundblaste Pro compatible, nor have USB or Bluetooth... I don't even have acess to SystemConfiguration directory to fix the PowerManagement bundle. I don't see what good is JAS 10.4.8 Any ideas how to fix these problems? It's working here, the only problem is that I only get Mono, but if I only input half of the phone connector, I get full sound, so it works! jjduro Posted January 15, 2007 Share Posted January 15, 2007 Yes, I've selected azalia, edited the kext, but now I've discovered that it seems that my souncard, that uses ALC861, is not supported. I get the volume control greyed, but no output sound on the speakers or jacks. In system preferences I have Apple HDA... but it just doesn't work. Oh! And I had to reinstall JaS 10.4.8 and lost USB support and Bluetooth. Had to update IOUSBFamily.kext with a build I found here: http://developer.apple.com/hardwaredrivers...d/usbdebug.html DON'T INSTALL the pkg that says log. Repaired permissions and reboot. Everything - Except ALC861 sound - works Any ideias? I don't believe nobody managed to have sound....
