rollcage
Just wondering if anyone was able to get sound working on there Macbook after installing vista and using the Vista drivers from the stickied post above. I have the soundcard installed but can't get it to play anything =( I couldn't get any of the drivers to work on my mini, but I did eventually get it working another way. I used the Apple Boot Camp driver CD that I burned. It should go through most of the install process, then get an error that something went wrong and the install wiill quit. But I get sound and Apple Keyboard support, the things I really needed. Note: You might have to start the installation by running the installation program straigth from the disc, autorun usually gives me an error that it needs XP. Hope this gets it working! borat23
I did get the audio working on my MacBook running windows vista. The MacBook uses the sigmatel audio drives, extract the drivers from the boot camp drivers cd using the command prompt with the /v /a switches on the install.exe file. Once extracted use the device manager to update the drivers and navigate to the sigmatel driver in the folder you extracted the drivers to. Good Luck! Frank M
The command is: "Install Macinstosh Drivers for Windows XP.exe" /v/a You must include the quote marks and it must be run from within your DVD-Rom directory (D: on my system) note that it will hang for a few minutes after you tell it to install on C: Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37246-did-anyone-get-sound-to-work-on-vista-witha-macbook/#findComment-277395 Share on other sites
gsbhullar
1. "Install Macintosh Drivers for Windows XP.exe /A /v" or "Install Macintosh Drivers for Windows XP.exe /V /a" 2. Choose the setup language 3. The programme will APPEAR to be installing but actually the files are being extracted. Now select the location where you want these files to be extracted. (Something like "C:\MacDrivers"). 4. Press "Install" button and few moments later "Finish" button.Go to location where you extracted your files "C:\MacDrivers", open the folder and you have your drivers inside subfolders named "Programme Files" and "System32". (note: a good site telling you about various switches is http://www.msfn.org/. Go to 'FORUMS' I think you will enjoy the section pertaining to unattended windows). Markymark21
I am still not able to get this to work. I have no boot camp program to load up off. I know this is the driver I need and I know its for XP, but I fail to find it on the XP cd when in vista. I know I need the sigmatel driver to function properly and tried looking for drivers for it. Should I look for a winxp driver then that works...I need a win vista driver and still have no soud Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37246-did-anyone-get-sound-to-work-on-vista-witha-macbook/#findComment-578763 Share on other sites
trooper8907
After days and days of bonking my head on this i figured it out. The best way that i found is to go to some site liike Warez-bb.org and download the Boot Camp that came with leopard. just siply register and search for boot camp. there should be one that is saved as like a .exe so all you have to do is download it ( like 400megabites) and run it. it will install boot camp in windows and get all your drivers working.
