Just wondering if it is possible to use my Boot Camp partition with Vista (RTM) on it as a VM. I'm using Paralells build 3094. I've tried using a few different configurations, but I keep getting a BIOS error:

Status: 0xc0000225

Info: Windows failed to load because the firmware (BIOS) is not ACPI compatible

Has anyone gotten it to work yet? I wanna see what Aero looks like through Coherence B). Or I'm I trying something that's not possible yet?

Thanks for the link, I didn't know there was a new version out.

Parallels doesn't support using a Boot Camp partition with Vista on it yet, now I get a warning box that says it's possible, but it may corrupt the data on that partition. I don't know if it does it specifically for Vista, or just because it's not XP and they don't want people using Linux. I'll just wait, they should eventually add support. And if that doesn't work, then I doubt that Coherence would do much better.

If anyone is interested in trying it, you can get it to boot the Boot Camp partition by creating a custom Vista VM, but do not create a virtual hard disk during setup. After you finish setting up, with all the other default settings, choose not to automatically start installtion. Then go into configuration and add a hard disk. Choose the option for the Boot Camp partition and you should be able to boot from it.
