jccool
Well I can tell you that I had an x1600 pro and I had it on a 400wat psu and never had any problems, 400waters are about 29usd these days, try it with your 300 and if it starts crashing which i doubt it will, get a 400 watter, Hope this helps, Jccool Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36984-asus-ati-x1600pro/#findComment-265582 Share on other sites

bptba93
thank you some actual answers, i actually read the reviews some more and it said the card ran hot and the fan was on full speed at all times. I'm now looking at either a 7300GT or a 7600GS. Thanks for the info anyway. I do plan on buying a 450 power supply. CLiDE FTW!!1
spend the extra few bucks and get a 500watt PSU. Who knows? Maybe you'll do Crossfire or SLI in the near future? jccool
I'v had my 500 wat Mutant Mods Reactor PSU for 2 years and I have 2 HD's and an x1950xt and an amd 3200+, never had any problems, was crashing a lot when I had a 400 wat, the 400 wat was sufficient for x1600 though, crossfire i recomend 580-600 as does ati, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36984-asus-ati-x1600pro/#findComment-265841 Share on other sites
