i ghosted a copy of working 10.4.8 to my laptop

changed the kernel with sse2 fix for my centrino dothan

replaced the kexts: AppleACPIPlatform.kext, AppleAPIC.kext, IOACPIFamily.kext and IOAudioFamily.kext

but it cant boot then

it told me that "BSD root:disk0s2,major 14,minor 2"

whats wrong with it? the kernel? the kext or anything else?

shall i replace all kexts to older ones?

Delete IOPCCardFamily.kext and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

Replace AppleSMBIOS.kext and IOATAFamily.kext

Repair Permissions, and reboot with:

-v -f -x

Ok, i know this post is too old but my problem is the same.

I'm running MacOs X85 iDeneb 10.5.4 and i've tried do upgrade to 10.5.7 with toolkit found on web. But now i have the same message and i don't know how to delete and replace those files. I know to go into Single user mode and work a little on it but i don't know how to make what you explained.

Anyone could help me?

Thank You.

Ivan.
