I downloaded the original 10.4.8 torrent that was out but of course I coudln't boot without having the DVD in the drive. I have since downloaded the re-seed file from demonoid and I am having problems. On the install I select 10.4.8 sm kernal. I choose the sigmatel 9220, usb 2.0 patch, GMA 950, and the 10.4.8 combo update. Everything seems to install just fine but after the install on the reboot I have no keyboard. I have tried it with a USB keyboard and it tells me no keyboard is attached....I tried it with a PS2 it acts as though there is a keyboard but I can't do anything. I only have a USB mouse and of course I can't move it at all. What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong?

I have this board with a C2D and have had a stable running system for over 1 month.

Here's the deal:

-You must set a jumper on the MoBo (don't remember off hand) to give power to PS_2 Keyboard or USB, or something or other, but it's the only jumper of its kind so it shouldn't be that hard to find.

Next, in the BIOS, set USB options to Legacy, and enable HPET and Non-Execute.

Boot up 10.4.8 DVD for Intel SSE3, format the drive with DiskUtil, continue to install, select options, and in options SELECT ONLY 10.4.8 Update and Semthex kernel. Do not select anything else! You can add other things afterwards.

Report back here if you have problems, and I'll look at my MoBo settings for you.
