HydraVision
I took my first step into the Mac realm when I bought a G3 some years ago. I recently built a custom PC for myself and bought a Mac Mini. I absolutely love the mac os but I cannot deal with the hardware limitations on my G3 and Mini. So, my question is, is it possible to install OS 10.4.8 on my system? SpeedfreaK
Yes, that's possible (i can't give you 100 %, but you have supported hardware i think), just try it and let us know! make sure you download the 10.4.8 AMD DVD! (if you don't know how to install, search the wiki) ps: this is my 100th post! no mac protege anymore Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36537-quick-question/#findComment-259890 Share on other sites
BarryBar
I took my first step into the Mac realm when I bought a G3 some years ago. If you select the x1000 PCI-E package on the JaS 10.4.8 DVD it will give you resolution change. For QE and CI one will have to edit the ATIRadeonX1000.kext manually. If you do this it will load but most likely give a kernel panic like was reported by me and others on this forum. Welcome to the club and lots of success!
