Hello @MaLd0n

My codec is ALC888S but the codec info doesn't finds. I've attached the report from your tool. I never tried VoodooHDA but neither AppleALC or HDAUniversal works. The sound works fine on Windows and Linux Codec-Info-Report.txtCodec-Info-Report2.txt

@The Tech You may want to try VoodooHDA just to confirm that it works.  I've seen others who reported using VoodooHDA with ALC888S.  I'm not tyrying to discourage your use of HDAUniversal - just suggesting that it might help to confirm that VoodooHDA works (or doesn't).

I do have some previous codec dumps extracted from Linux. codec_dump.txt

Check if work. Use alcid=172. I created one layout with your codec dump. Remember, this kext version is beta and have several new things like digital(not full for now), 16, 20, 24bit on 44,1,  48, 96 and 192 kHz. You can report me bugs.

HDAUniversal-Release.zip

After that try codec-info again and check if audio work.

Supported outputs
Rear Line Out:
NID 0x14 → Mixer 0x0C → DAC 0x02

Front Headphones:
NID 0x1B → Mixer 0x0D → DAC 0x03

Center / LFE:
NID 0x16 → Mixer 0x0E → DAC 0x04

Surround:
NID 0x17 → Mixer 0x0F → DAC 0x05

Optical S/PDIF:
NID 0x1E → Digital Converter 0x06

The headphone route uses 0x1B → 0x0D → 0x03, which is explicitly confirmed by the selected connection shown in the codec dump.

Supported inputs
Rear Microphone:
NID 0x18 → Mixer 0x22 → ADC 0x09

Front Microphone:
NID 0x19 → Mixer 0x23 → ADC 0x08

Rear Line In:
NID 0x1A → Mixer 0x23 → ADC 0x08

The front microphone and rear Line In share the same ADC path and therefore are not intended to operate as independent simultaneous capture devices.

Pin configuration
0x11 = 0x40130000
0x12 = 0x411111F0
0x14 = 0x01014010
0x15 = 0x411111F0
0x16 = 0x01016011
0x17 = 0x01012014
0x18 = 0x01A19040
0x19 = 0x02A19050
0x1A = 0x0181304F
0x1B = 0x02214020
0x1C = 0x411111F0
0x1D = 0x4027D629
0x1E = 0x01451130
0x1F = 0x411111F0

The PinConfig commands are serialized using the correct HDA format for codec address 0.

Example:

NID 0x14, verb 0x71C, payload 0x10:

01471C10
EAPD and wake initialization
01470C02 Rear Line Out EAPD enable
01470740 Rear Line Out output enable

01670740 Center/LFE output enable
01770740 Surround output enable

01870721 Rear microphone input with VREF 50
01970724 Front microphone input with VREF 80
01A70720 Line In input with high-impedance reference

01B70C02 Headphone EAPD enable
01B707C0 Headphone and output enable

The same initialization is included in WakeConfigData, with wake verb reinitialization enabled, to restore the analog outputs and inputs after sleep.

Hardware characteristics

This layout supports:

Analog 5.1 output
Front headphone output
Rear microphone
Front microphone
Rear Line In
Optical S/PDIF output
Sleep/wake codec reinitialization
