My bad @MaLd0nalcid=5 now works.

Im using clover and added my layout in clover's config >inject and does not work

Because Clover set voodoo-layout-id to differ from AppleALC. It was idea from rdmitry0911, I don't know why.

If you think it will be better Clover set simple layout-id then I will do so.

I updated the project to improve codec detection and compatibility with modern macOS/Xcode.

Added and fixed:

  • Updated the codec table with many missing and modern HDA codecs, including newer Realtek, Conexant, Cirrus, Intel HDMI/DP, NVIDIA HDMI/DP, VIA, Zhaoxin, Glenfly and Loongson entries.
  • Added broader IORegistry scanning so the tool can detect codecs exposed by AppleHDA, VoodooHDA, AppleALC and HDAUniversal.
  • Added vendor-based fallback detection, so unknown codecs are still reported as Realtek Unknown, Intel Unknown, etc., instead of only Unknown Codec.
  • Improved property reading to support both CFData and CFNumber, avoiding bad values or crashes with different driver implementations.
  • Fixed build compatibility with modern Xcode by updating the deployment target and avoiding the old missing libarclite issue.
  • Added and improved Compile-getcodecid.command, including Xcode.app detection, logs, clean/release/debug options and a clang fallback if needed.
  • Kept the original project structure and logic intact, only adding compatibility, codec support and build fixes.

Thanks @MaLd0n

One thing i noticed that the onboard properties is full of zeros, just like mine. But it's all good👍

I created this tool Codec-Info. Download HERE

@MaLd0n

Hdauniversal is using all the codecs found in applealc's resources folder?

Yes. HdaUniversal now uses all codecs found in AppleALC’s Resources folder, greatly expanding codec detection and compatibility.
It also includes improvements such as combo-jack handling, etc.

@MaLd0n

I see codec-info in Hackintosh tools in Olarila. I think that HDAUniversal is a very important project and must have a place in Hackintool tools. Please add it to the list. Thanks.

Please HDAUniversal users, I need feedback of About This Hack, is the Audio tab displaying data as expected? Thank you very much!
