mcshmoopy
Hi all, I've recently decided to redo my USB mapping with Tahoe breaking it and stumbled upon USB toolbox and I've managed to get everything working USB wise without a port limit. Only thing I noticed however is my back two USB 3.1 Gen Type C and Type A ports do not get 10gbps, they seem to run at 5gbps. I believe it is because they are being recognised as USB 3.0 Hubs and not Type 3.1, is this to do with USB toolbox and has anyone else been able to resolve this? I have been able to verify 10gbps working with my devices on windows and a separate macbook air Specs are as follows: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370-HD3P CPU: 8700k i7 16gb Ram GPU: Gigabyte 5700XT SMBios: MacPro7,1 Here is a copy of my usb ports layout Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362675-usb-31-gen-2-ports-running-at-5gbps-and-not-10gbps/ Share on other sites
