I have the same system you do. I bought a full size case and power supply from a dell 620 tower and just swapped over the motherboard. I thought about putting in a low profile card but it's already pretty cramped and I felt that anything over the onboard GMA950 would heat things up too much. Another factor was that I upgraded the 40gb 5400 rpm drive to an 80gb 7200 rpm driver which also generated more heat. The board is BTX so unless you get a dell 620 case you will need a case and powersupply that supports a BTX formfactor. Also you will need a BTX specific fan and heatsync. One downside of this approach is that you will have to use a USB DVD drive or find a SATA internal DVD drive as the SFF motherboard does not have any IDE headers and it is near impossible to get an adapter for the micro ide header on the board which is designed for laptops. Also, I'm not sure how much better the FX5500 would be over the GMA950.
