Iam quite new into this. So far i have downloaded plenty of .dmg's, updates and so on.

I have downloaded everything from this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=35783

My first problem, is this message during boot in BIOS: /com.apple.Boot.plist not found. What is the solution?

The Jas. 10.4.6 dvd was burned through nero burning rom at 4x speed.

My specs:

intell sse2 2mb cache 2,0ghz

1 gig DDR ram

100gig HDD

Current OS: Windows

Any help is much appreciated :)

Hello again.

Thank you indeed for answer! It looked like a good solution, but the biggest problem is that i haven't a USB-floppy disk.

I have a USB stick, but somebody told me that it will be quite hard getting to work.

Right now i have created two partions. One for windows and one for OSX. When the operation was done through a program called Acronics, a bad thing happened. (se this http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...+say+it+enough)

This is what happened.

When acronics finally overwrited (partionated) grub and my linux, grub won't start, not even the XP at all!

So all i wish is to boot my Jas DVD, but the way booting through USB stick seem quite hard.

Any help is indeed much apreciated. Sorry my poor english

"When installing is done, OS Selector will ask you to restart, and after you restarting your computer, OS Selector will be active" A copy paste from the [HowTo] XP + OSX 10.4.4-10.4.8 native dual boot guide

It is very strange that this is not included my Acronics version. I was supposed to believe that the acronics could get rid of GRUB and linux.

Furthermore, i installed the typically version of acronics, maybe the OS selector wasn't included? :S

If you have dowloaded the acronis ssuite, you have to install OS selector.

Start, program fils, acronis, install acronis os selector

I didn't have any problem with acronis, but when you restart you have to wait (me about 10 or 15 min, because there was 750 Go to analyse)

Sorry for my english

EDIT ; you've posted before me :thumbsup_anim:

EDIT: Winternal won't boot xp :thumbsup_anim:

Could a repair of the XP version work? I suppose no, cause GRUB is still there :hysterical:

edit: is about to run fix/mbr command in xp now

Edit2: Got the problem fixed now. I will soon install the OS selector, but back to the topic.

How do i boot the jas dvd. The message is still boot.plis blablabla!

Today this morning, i managed to boot my jas 10.4.6 on a IBM Intel centrino SSE2 laptop. So now i know my CD is P-E-R-F-E-C-T! :)

Should i go ahead trying to boot my CD anymore, or should i give up and try VMWARE?

Any help regarding boot.plist. is much appreciated!

This happen to me with my dv8000, yet the dvd worked in my PC and VMware... this is what I did that worked http://linux.simple.be/tools/sbm with ftp://ftp.cs.pu.edu.tw/Linux/momonga/3/i6...rawwritewin.exe

clownshoes19 - I too have a hp dv8000 and have had no luck - I need to get a USB floppy to try your suggestion - but would love to chat with you as to what your next steps were and whether you were successful with the native install.
