Hi all, I am trying to install Sonoma macOS on my PC but every time I get an error while booting: "support.apple.com/mac/startup". These are my PC specs:

- Motherboard: MSI Z170a Gaming M3

- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz

- RAM: 16 GB

- GPU: Intel HD Graphics 530

- LAN: Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller

- Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio (ALC1150)

- SSD: 2 SSDs (BIOSTAR and HP)

Can someone help please?

What about spoofing the iGPU with WhateverGreen?

The Open Core Installation Guide only mentions Ventura. Does this method not work with Sonoma?

Another option is OCLP.

I haven't tried either option. I'm still using Monterey. I have a Radeon W5700 so I don't need to use the HD530 but it would be interesting to know if it can work. Apple's Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake driver adds 5K single tile support. The HD530 should also be able to do 5K single tile but it's not enabled in macOS Skylake driver.

Some users made HD530 working by faking to Kabylake even in Sonoma. But nobody made this iGPU sleep/wake cycle. It always wake to black screen. It is not interesting for me, I want to live without restarts.

Same problem if use HD530 in empty frame mode only for acceleration. In this case after wake we can't see QuickLook on jpeg files because iGPU is dead after wake.

So I switched it off in BIOS and use only RX570.
