rollcage
I've been using a thumb drive to move files to my printer for a couple months, now I'm fed up, I want to find a way to fix this! I have a HP Deskjet 3740 connected to my Vista RC1 PC via USB downstairs. My Mac is upstairs. I have a D-Link 784 router, the PC is wired to it, and my Mac is connected over the 802.11a wireless. I've enabled printer/file sharing on my PC. file sharing works great, but I can't seem to get the printer to work. I have the drivers installed on the Mac, but it doesn't show up on the list of printers in my Windows Workgroup. I thought about using the ip address of the printer, but I don't think it has one since it's connected via usb to my pc. i tried using the pc's address, but that doesn't work. any suggestions?
