SMBIOS - iMac 19,1 Gigabyte MOBO: B85M-D3H Bios Ver: F15 BIOS Date: 08/20/2015 BIOS ID 8A02AG0C Intel ® Core TM i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00 Ghz. GPU XFX RX580 8GB Able to boot with XFX RX 560 - flashed with Sapphire RX560 Using OpenCore Kext used: Lilu.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext VirtualSMC.kext Whatever Green.Kext Any possible solution? Slice Posted December 29, 2023 Share Posted December 29, 2023 Your hardware is good. You must be able to boot Sonoma. XFX is not a stopping factor. I used XFX RX570 without problems. I may propose your card has non-standards connectors order. May be you should update your Video BIOS to latest version? Second attempt is to disable WhateverGreen .kext. Can it be done with USB linux, as I have no secondary OS installed. Will give the second option try right away & report my findings. - No luck, deleted the WhateverGreen.Kext, same issue. Restored WhateverGreen.Kext. Can you kindly check my EFI file. For any unnecessary addition. Also my NVRAM cannot be reset. There are three choices Windows, Linus, DOS. There are gossips that you can't use Windows because of multi-threading. False! Programmers creating the windows application know what to do. You may use Windows to reflash the BIOS. Sometimes the program will not start flashing because subvendor is not same as in bios image. See this application https://www.techpowerup.com/rbe/ It provides the interface to edit new BIOS to be same subvendor as original one. It just requires your efforts.
