Same here! I'm guessing from Slice's response about T2 chips that this is an OC / Clover difference in how they handle "SecureBootModel" It may be that Ventura is going to be stricter regarding that. I know the issue isn't CSR as I have that fully enabled.

 

For whatever reason I've always had more luck with Clover on my x79 and x299 rigs, on everything else I use OC. My x299 is running on Clover as an iMac Pro. It's always updated previously without any issue, that is till Ventura 13.1. I guess I'll create a separate config as an iMac19,1 just to try and use for updates and see how that goes for now.

Don't eject it but unmount your EFI partition in CLI.  It would also be more convenient to use Automator to build a Service to unmount EFI partition and assign a hotkey to it.
