But I was browsing the website and came across this website https://github.com/luchina-gabriel/BASE-EFI-INTEL-DESKTOP-4THGEN-HASWELL/releases/tag/0.8.3 from GitHub. As mentioned on the Opencore website macOS Ventura cannot be installed on the haswell chipset. please guide Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/352910-opencore-083-haswell-chipset-ventura-support-possible/ Share on other sites
Cyberdevs
@$tealth You can install Ventura on Haswell rigs using a supported SMBIOS but there's no support for Intel HD 4600 but if you have a supported dGPU you install and use Ventura. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/352910-opencore-083-haswell-chipset-ventura-support-possible/#findComment-2791031 Share on other sites
Guest ricoc90
You can install Ventura on Haswell just fine as long as you have a dGPU that Ventura supports and there lays your issue. If I recall correctly you're running a dual GPU setup with a GT 710 and GT 730. Both are unsupported. You'd need a Navi or Vega card. Polaris will also work but is not supported by Metal 3. No I don't think so, anything below HD 600 series has no official support, for instance you can use HD520/530 if you spoof HD630 but I don't think that can be applied to older iGPUs. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/352910-opencore-083-haswell-chipset-ventura-support-possible/#findComment-2791153 Share on other sites
