tipnmo
I have used firefox for the last couple years on a variety of operating systems and hardware, and its always been great. However since I started using firefox 2.0 on my mbp, i have encounter numerous bugs/issues. Now when i first tried firefox with osx, i thought it felt sluggish compared to its windows/linux counterpart (and my mpb is much more powerful then my windows and ubuntu box.) So I was stoked to hear about firefox 2.0, thinking maybe this would improve. Well to my surprise firefox whipped out the disappointment stick and gave me a thorough beating. Now where to start the list. 1.) When typing in SOME, not all, text boxes i cannot delete, or write over the text 2.) Randomly will enter a type of author mode where nothing but text is shown 3.) Will get stuck on a web page, despite back/forward/home or a completely different address, only way to get out is to exit and reopen 4.) If i dont completely close out of firefox before trying to turn off or restart my computer everything will go to hell 5.) AND ITS SLOW!!! :censored2: So whats the deal, does firefox suck now, did my favorite browser go the way of papa's soul food? (local joke, dont fret if you dont get it.) Now normally i would have just switched back to safari or opera, but i havent seen any other complaints about firefox 2.0, and firefox hasnt release any kind of update. So that makes me wonder, is it just me? Let me know your experience with firefox 2.0 thanks -ian Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35273-anyone-else-having-issues-with-firefox-20/ Share on other sites

sev7en
As far as I see the v2 is really unstable... it crashs often on my system. Now I'm downloading the Intel-optimized versions but I'm writing from Safari: less features but faster and safe! MrSin
Have you tried Camino? It's my default browser on both my iBook G4 and my Intel Core 2 Duo iMac. I routinely run the nightly builds as I so love living on the bleeding edge .
