Acronis OS selector is one option.

Also, you can select the startup disk form the bios by tapping F8 (or something else, depending on your bios) during startup..

So, stop hitting F8 and set up the bootloader correctly: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&p=243116

thanks Rammjet

i've already got it but the reason is different

see m using windows bootloader and if i dont setup timer for darwin by selecting OS in the windows bootloader it takes me back to the windows bootloader..and i think the problem probably is that when i select darwin it tries the first drive which is not darwin but windows

is there any way i can change the order of drives in darwin bootloader?

i dont kno if i've made myself clear :S

Darwin defaults to the active partition. Since Windows is the active partition it uses its bootloader, when you get to Darwin, it wants to go back to Windows.

If you made OSX partition active, then Darwin would default to OSX and you would have to choose to go to Windows. But you would always be using Darwin bootlader instead of Windows and chain0 - you would want to remove the chain0 command from the boot.ini

To convert from Acronis to Windows bootloader:

Go to Windows and run Acronis. Run the feature that removes the Acronis Disk Selector.

Pop in your OSX install DVD. Copy the file chain0 to your c:\ directory

Edit boot.ini to add a line: C:\chain0="Mac OS X"
