intrax
Interesting....I'm also digging into Radeon 9250 possibilities in OSX86 10.4.8.... What have you achieved sofar ? I'm still stuck at 1024x768 so just starting out.... edit: I've installed Callisto b06... works ok at 1024x768, but switching to 1280x1024 results in black screen allthough my monitor is capable of that resolution and all resolutions show up in osx86.... screen saver and itunes visualizer working but stuck at this res. for now... edit2: solved now running callisto b08, all resolutions working, software OpenGL working... no QE, CI or hardware opengl.... needs NEW driver ! Zavior
I am running 10.4.8 with a radeon 9250. I have got resolution switching working (callisto b03 i think), and I have agp gart. Everything seems to be working pretty well except I would really like to use dual moniters. Does anyone have any sugestions on how to get them to work? Also how do I tell if CI, QE, or openGL are working? I have also radeon 9250 (pci) but I only have one vga and one tv-out connector, what were you thinking about dual displays ? Zavior
My card is AGP and has one VGA, one s-video (tv), and one DVI out. I have two moniters: one on the VGA and one on the DVI port with an adapter. It took me a minute or two of looking at it to figure out where the QE and CI is. It says that neither are supported It also says that my card is a 9200. Do you think maybe I need some more kext's besides callisto, agp gart, and the Jas Ati driver? intrax
No for now it's the best you can do. OSX recognizes the 9250 as a 9200. We need new driver to be able to get QE enable and hardware accelerated opengl. I have looked at open source drivers for bsd and ther are, but somebody needs to port, build and compile for osx...
