kiwi7910
I installed MacOS 12.3 then updated to 12.4.  My only issue is with the USB 3.1/3.2 ports, which are unreliable when connected to my DVD-ROM player (Music ripping) and camera (importing Photos). The device will sporadically disconnect and then reconnect again during data transfers, causing data loss.  My fix so far is to connect them via a USB 2.0 hub. Only then does the USB work as it should.  Is anyone else seeing this? I am using the latest one and apart from creating my own MLB, serial number and SystemUUID with GenSMBIOS, it is unmodified.  A quick Google search indicates that others are having USB problems after upgrading to Monterey, so maybe it is just an Apple issue that has yet to be resolved. I probably should have resisted the urge to upgrade before the release was stable. I have no wish to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 just yet! CloverLeaf
@kiwi7910Â You can try my HP ProDesk 400 G5 Mini HP ProDesk 400 G5.zipEFI. Keep in mind that the ethernet lan is different so you have to replace the kext suitable for your system. Mine is working flawlessly under 12.4 Â Â Â Â Â Â Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/351854-monterey-usb-issues/#findComment-2784363 Share on other sites
kiwi7910
I have found that it is not a Monterey or OpenCore issue, because it happens whether I boot using OC or Win EFI, MacOS or Windows.  I think that it is a problem with the HP EliteDesk 800 G5 BIOS (v 2.13). The USB power state mappings for the USB root hub appear to be incorrect. These can be seen by booting to Windows and viewing the USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) Power State Mappings using Device Manager. S0..S5 represent increasing levels of System Sleep where S5 = Off and D0..D3 represent increasing levels of Device Sleep  The power state mappings should be: S0 -> D0S1 -> D2 S2 -> D2 S3 -> D2 S4 -> D2 S5 -> D3     1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/351854-monterey-usb-issues/#findComment-2784862 Share on other sites
