kahiser
Hi Mates, I'm telling you about an error that has been driving me crazy for more than a week. I have never this error before, when I copy the folder to the EFI of the NVMe partition, OpenCore does not boot from this location, the bios entry is detected correctly, as it is manually created, the loader starts, but when I boot into OpenCore from NVMe it stays on this screen. (Attached image) I have tried in the last week all kinds of possible solutions and tutorials from different forums and not have been successful. From the USB this same EFI folder, works and charges perfectly, except the wifi as expected as it is not compatible. I am using a USB key at the moment. Doing a multitude of tests, the opencore logs are identical from both the SSD / NVMe and the USB Any ideas I'm missing? ndungu6678
Hi-are you running Monterey 12.3 beta? - this bug is not new (have a look at posts from Joshua60, ndungu6678 and Matgen84 in closed topic on Monterey 12.3 beta-below): Apparently it appears it could be( but not sure ) a new NVME related OC bug when trying to read fixed NVME and SSD boot drives simultaneously, since the problem does not occur when booting from Clover or portable USB-( I am a victim and have tested this myself). It was not there in earlier OC versions as I have always used multiple NVME and SSD drives on my hack in the past to either boot Big Sur ,Windows and Monterey). Coincidentally I have also been forced to resort to booting OC from USB which is the temporary solution as I personally prefer OC over Clover MacPro7,1 Build 1: i5-9400F, Samsung 16GB DDR4 RAM, MSI Gaming Plus Z390, Radeon RX580 8GB, OC 0.8.0 beta Edited March 30, 2022 by ndungu6678

MacPro7,1 Build 1: i5-9400F, Samsung 16GB DDR4 RAM, MSI Gaming Plus Z390, Radeon RX580 8GB, OC 0.8.0 beta HI ndungu6678, Thank you very much for your reply. The thing is, it's not exactly that problem. I only have an NVME, with one partition for OSX and one for WIN. I have tried with several versions of OC and CLOVER and I still have the same failure, I have also tried with different versions of OS, Big Sur and Monterrey, is a mystery that I can not decipher. I thought that the NVME might not be shared, but it is, I checked the HP BIOS a thousand times, but it is so basic that there is no room for further testing. seems to be a bug in the OSX pre-boot partition, which does not load. it's a mystery that is unsettling me. hopefully someone will read us and give us some ideas...!! ndungu6678
Hello- read the following from Dortania Guides for OC about resolving this problem: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/troubleshooting/extended/kernel-issues.html#stuck-on-eb-log-exitbs-start I am also reading their suggestions to see if it will help to fix this problem. Will get back if it works. Best of luck! Edited April 1, 2022 by ndungu6678
