Currently working on a 'New Way' to install older Mac X on systems that are too new to install them ;)

Trying with Snow Leopard at the moment

When I perfect this method, let the good times role again

I this works ok, I will resurrect my old InstaHackintosh, so that you can tailor make your own install :)

For Snow Leopard, you will need a source file, e.g Snow Leopard dvd or equivalent.

Will give info when I have progressed far enough, at the moment it is still in theory stage

@STLVNUB Hi - would be very interested to know how you progress with the project. I still have my Snow Leopard disk and tried in the past to install it again on my new systems along the way but fell down applying the new methods to install OS X so like a wimp I gave up.

The secret is NOT to install using the disk installer, but installing each individual packages ;) with a script file that is only 12 lines ;)

There will be 3 modes

1.  iso creation up to date Installable, with any programs you want to add.Good for Virtual Box

2. Use diskutility and restore image to hd. Same again fully tailor made your way

3. Possible live creation, use as utility disk

There is probably more usage for it, so let me know

Yeah, its really just a concept at this time. If my internet was working properly I could release a beta version for you guys to test

Guest ricoc90

I still have a 2007 24" iMac, late 2009 21.5" iMac, 2008 MacBook Pro and 2011 MacBook Pro. All just collecting dust because I have no idea what to do with them but at the same time the thought of selling them or doing them away gives me straight up panic attacks as if I'm considering selling my child :D

I do heartfully agree that SL was the best OSX, so I might dust some of the older Macs off... :D

This Is A Work In Progress

You Need To Do A Few Things Yourself

1. You Will Need To Download This Snow Leopard DVD

https://archive.org/details/osx-10.6.7-dvd

Double Click The Iso File To

Mount it.

Need To UNHIDE Folders

2a. On A Mac Keyboard

Press Shift Option full stop

2b. On A Windows Keyboard

Press Shift Alt Full Stop

3. Have A BLANK HDD Volume Ready

4. Run The Script, Enter Passwords When Prompted

5. You SHOULD end Up with A Working Snow Leopard Volume

Just Have To Get OC OR Clover To Boot It😁

Version 0.1

MakeSL.command.zip

Now Makes Leopard

Version 0.4

MakeSL.command.zip

Version 0.5

Bug Fix

MakeSL.command

Hi,

Are you actually able to boot to Snow Leopard on your B360M or B560 system? Because no matter what I do, faking cpuid or smbios, my Coffee Lake system does not boot to installer or already installed El Capitan or older OS partitions. Minimum it can boot was 10.12. I'd like to know if anyone had success in such case.  But being able to install older Mac OS on a newer system seems nice whether you can boot it or not.
