[Solved] Intel UHD Graphics P630 Coffee Lake Refresh Xeon E-2174G 3E96

Trying to get this as main single graphics display via DP

Mobo: Asus WS C246M Pro (it has 1xDP, 1xHDMI, 1xVGA)

 

Tried: General Framebuffer Patching Guide using Hackintool

Each time I try to use device-id in OC, I get black display (can Screen Share connect)

 

Here are the screenshots with NO entries in OC config.plist (it is only 7Mb VRAM with NO acceleration, so unusable)

 

Anybody has any more ideas?

I have tried with device-id 0x3E92 , but do end up with no display

Will have another go, thanks

 

If I were to use

platform-id | Data | 3E920000

 

shall I still have

APPL,ig-platform-id | Data | 07009b3e

or

APPL,ig-platform-id | Data | 0000923e

 

with adjusted config for connectors?

Make sure you changed both devide-id and ig-platform-id.

After hours of trial-and-error I did not find any combination that made display work

 

Tried every combination of ig-platform-id 0000923E & 00009B3E & 07009B3E with device-id of 9B3E0000 & 923E0000 and every port (index 0/1/2) with every bus-id (2/4/5/6 for DP)

 

Each & every combination was black screen on DP (only connection that I tested/need)

 

And then I realized that I was using DP-to-DVI cable.

 

Swapped test monitor for one with proper DP, and instantly got the expected result (both DP & HDMI working fine)

It also works for Catalina (booted from the same OC - Catalina installed on a separate drive)
