Martin Dobson
Hi, I've finally managed to get big sure installed and I was using a dvi connection on my build area (I say build area is a small table in the garage ), but when I moved my pc and connected it to my main monitor that only has hdmi ports I get a magenta tint, everything else seems to work okay. I've looked for solutions but all seem to relate to replacing files in the system folder which I would do but I can't find how to give myself access to the system folders? So can help. or point me in the right direction. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/350036-magenta-screen/ Share on other sites

It's best if you post your EFI folder as well. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/350036-magenta-screen/#findComment-2773855 Share on other sites
Martin Dobson
3 hours ago, Hervé said: Impossible to provide a suitable answer without any details of the affected system! But it does sound like something experienced on Kaby Lake R laptops with UHD620 graphics. Fix was a simple injection of the HDMI type property to the associated connector/output port. https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/12365-solved-degraded-hdmi-output-on-latitude-7490/ Sorry I have I5 7600k Intel processor on a Gigabyte GA-H100M-S2HP motherboard. I'll take a look at the post and see if I can work out what I need to do.
