jan2ooo
Since the prices for GPUs are still very high I am looking for alternatives. I found this topic but no one ever answered. Is there a way to get the AMD GPRO 4300 to work on Hackintosh (as WX 4100)? I need a low profile card so there are not many choices at this time. Thank you so much! Cyberdevs
@jan2ooo if you can find an AMD RX560 it would be better because it has native support and it's not gonna cost a lot. I think you can find a low profile version of RX 560 if you look it up. I can't find much info on GPRO 4300 like the device ID to double check the compatibility. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/349817-sapphire-amd-gpro-4300-is-it-worth-it-does-it-work/#findComment-2772860 Share on other sites
jan2ooo
I know. But very hard to find and quite expensive for what it is. Over at hackintosh-forum.de someone posted the PCIe output from Hackintool (Radeon Pro WX 4100 and AMD GPRO 4300). Maybe this could help? Cyberdevs
I don't speak German and google translate fails to work properly but from what I see in that topic the device id posted in the pictures doesn't help much either but I know WX 4100 is supported not sure about the GPRO 4300 tho. Here is the list of all supported GPUs https://dortania.github.io/GPU-Buyers-Guide/modern-gpus/amd-gpu.html#polaris-10-and-20-series Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/349817-sapphire-amd-gpro-4300-is-it-worth-it-does-it-work/#findComment-2772869 Share on other sites
jan2ooo
Thanks. i know that list, the 4300 is not listed there 😪 But @SuperflyFM signature says it's working 😁 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/349817-sapphire-amd-gpro-4300-is-it-worth-it-does-it-work/#findComment-2772873 Share on other sites
Cyberdevs
I doubt it, if it was working she wouldn't have created that topic, having a device in the signature doesn't necessarily mean that it's working, and if that GPU doesn't work natively you might be able to get it to work by spoofing the device ID form a closest card such as WX 4100. This is close to my initial question 😁 I was hoping that someone has any experiance with that card.
