SMBIOS Update issue

Hi

 

I have recently updated the opencore version on my Optiplex 5050 from 0.6.3 to 0.7.6 and the machine is working fine, but I want to try and update the Smbios from 14,2 to 17,1 to see if I can get my quadro K2000 to work with the machine.

 

I have generated the serial, Board Serial, SmUUID and Apple ROM using GenSMBIOS from iMac17,1, updated the info as the opencore skylake page, however when I reboot using the updated config the machine gets to the login screen but none of the usb devices like keyboard/mouse work.

 

So, I cannot login to check anything.

 

What am doing wrong?

You don't need to do a complete remap, but you need to update the SMBIOS in your USB mapping kext.

if you have USBMap or USBPorts, inside there is Contents > Info.plist, look at this file for 2 occurrences of iMac14,2 and change it to iMac17,1.

Thank you all for replying. I was not using USBMap.kext which I have now created using USBMap.command and putting a usb2 drive into each free usb2 port, and a USB3 drive into the usb3 drive. 

 

Once the kext was created I amended the info.plist to show 17,1 as opposed to 14,4.

 

And I have managed to boot into OSx. 

 

Just need to test the other items before I try and test the GPU, thank you again for the help and suggestions.
