SavageAUS
Short answer would be no, that’s not how a real Mac does it so OpenCore won’t change its stance on that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
1Revenger1
It already is possible to not change the SMBIOS for windows. If you set PlatformInfo->UpdateSMBIOSMode=Custom and Kernel->Quirks->SmbiosCustomGUID=true, it won't affect windows.

STLVNUB
I would have thought that it would NOT change the SMBIOS in windows and ONLY do so if booting Mac. Well that's the way it should work

I was writing it from memory lol. 8 hours ago, STLVNUB said: I would have thought that it would NOT change the SMBIOS in windows and ONLY do so if booting Mac. Well that's the way it should work It's mostly about having a consistent environment, especially if your kicked out of booting macOS for some reason. Also, OpenCore does most of it's ACPI and SMBIOS work before you even get to the menu. D.F talks about it here: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/341402-customized-opencore-with-additional-features/page/2/ Edited March 17, 2022 by 1Revenger1

Sorry, it was English at first, but I don't know why it became Chinese. Now I don't know how to edit it. I'm very sorry, it has been edited.
